landrush start saw several buggies wanting the same piece of real
estate as the field of twenty-five buggies came through the turn.
Several top runners in the class gat tangled up as the rest of the
field tip toed their way around the calamity. Bryan Holtger put his
#100 out front, looking put a lot of space between him and the rest of
the field. As the laps ran down only two other buggies were able
to catch him, Jeff Vernig and Class Champion, Mike Vanden Heuvel.

Holtger Motorsports Oshkosh Race Report
- Coleman, WI (July
30, 2008) - The race track, the Oshkosh Speedzone at the
Winnebago County Fairgrounds, would be a short and technical
layout, which relies on driving ability, rather than engine
performance. The weekend of racing, would also see the first
complete WSORR program, under the lights, as the WSORR
competed Friday and Saturday nights.
-
-
The short, but extremely exciting, race track, made it
difficult to follow the large Light Buggy field.
-
-
Round 7- Friday Night
-
Craig Paitl, behind the wheel of the #100 finished a very
respectable tenth place in the twenty-two buggy field. While
Stephanie Paitl, in the #144, crossed the finish in
fifteenth place.
-
-
Round 8 - Saturday Night
-
Stephanie Paitl had a repeat performance with a fifteenth
place finish. While Bryan Holtger got a great start, moved
through the field, and finished on the podium in third place.
-
-
After eight rounds of racing, the #100 team of Craig Paitl and
Bryan Holtger are in tenth place, and Stephanie Paitl in the
#100 Buggy is in nineteenth place in the 2008 Lucas Oil World
Series of Off-Road Racing SRT Light Buggy Championship.

-
The next race is August 9-10, back in Bark River, Michigan.

Holtger Motorsports Bark River I Race Report
- Coleman, WI (July
19, 2008) -
The Holtger Motorsports Light Buggy Race Team arrived at
Bark River looking to improve their overall positions in the
season long, Lucas Oil WSORR SRT Light Buggy
Championships.
-
-
Stephanie's #144 Light Buggy has performed flawlessly all
year long. Stephanie was looking to improve run into
the first corner. While Craig and Bryan were looking to
improve the handling on the #100 Light Buggy.
-
-
Round 5
-
The start saw the husband and wife duo make it through the
always hectic first corner without any major contact. Craig
Paitl was dicing with several competitors with in the top
ten, at one one point it looked like a podium finish was a
possibility, until he was given a stop and go penalty
for making contact with a competitor that was running with a
flat tire. At the finish, Craig crossed the finish in
fifth place.
-
-
Once Stephanie cleared the "hill" for the first time, she
set her sites on the buggy in front of her. As the laps
wound down, Steph passed several racers to finish in twenty
first place.
-
-
Round 6
-
The Sunday race had Bryan Holtger driving the #100 Light
Buggy, with sister Stephanie, piloting the #144.
-
-
The start saw both teammates coming out the first corner
well back in the back. In a division where every racer is on
a level playing field, the chance of either race to
get towards the front would be remote. At the finish,
Bryan finished twentieth and Stephanie crossed the
line in nineteenth.
