Biography
I was born in 1984 son of Lori Huberty and Don Holtger. I attended Lena High School and was the Salutatorian of my graduating class. I have been working since I was 14 for both my father’s family business, Holtger Bros. Inc., and my stepfather’s construction company, Lena Area Builders. I have been involved in many sports including wrestling, football, and track. I recently graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and earned a bachelors degree in Construction Management.

 

How I got started racing
Racing has been a part of the Holtger family since my uncle, Jeff Holtger, began racing a four-wheel drive truck in the SODA series in 1994. I did not become active in his racing endeavors until I was about 14. After that, I was constantly around the off-road racetrack as well as the stock car scene. When I began working for Holtger Bros., I also began helping IMCA Modified driver Eddie Muenster during the week and also at the races. Since then racing has constantly been on my mind. When I was fifteen, I purchased a dirt bike and along with my cousin Bryan and began competing in the local amateur circuit. I competed when time allowed for three years but then quit racing motocross to focus on a different type of racing, which was karting. I raced go-carts at the Hi-Go raceway in Cecil, WI, for one season and finished second in the year end points race in the Animal Medium division. In the summer of 2004, Bryan and I began racing an IMCA modified. When we started, we only had one car between the two of us, so we shared the car for a while. Part way through the summer, I purchased a modified of my own and began racing both Friday and Saturday nights for the remainder of the season. I really enjoy the experience of all the different types of racing I am involved in. The 2006 season was a great learning experience for me, and I am grateful for all the help everyone has given me. I am especially looking forward to the 2007 season, to gain even more knowledge and experience in what I believe to be the most exciting sport.
